Halloween celebrations in the Labrador schools

The Labrador school boards are celebrating the spirit for Halloween in each of the schools along the coast.

Jacob Larkin is the Principal for the Nain Jens Haven Memorial School.

Larkin says that they have a haunted house set up in the library and decorations around the school.

They are holding the annual Halloween parade at the gym that started at 1:15 and parents are invited to attend.

Paula Kelly is the Principal for Mealy Mountain Collegiate School in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.

Kelly says that the children will be doing games and activities such as pumpkin carving contest, a karaoke, and a costume party.

Dean Coombs is the Principal for Amos Comenius Memorial School in Hopedale.

He says that there are regular classes for the junior and high grades.

The primary students are also dressed up with games and activities such as pumpkin carving.

Carmine Sheppard is the principal for B.L. Morrison School in Postville.

She says they are having a Halloween class party this afternoon and had a bake sale during recess.

The money that was raised will be going to the Community Food Bank.

Dion Rideout is the principal for Makkovik J.C. Erhardt Memorial School.

He says that they had regular classes in the morning, but will be dressing up for a Halloween bingo and will be doing some Halloween activities as well.
