Here is another update on the Forest fire near Nain.
The forest fire is located 30 kms inland, and 54 kms Northwest of Nain.
The Newfoundland and Labrador Fisheries and Agriculture are monitoring the fire.
The fire began with a lightning storm.
We spoke with Brad White, the Regional Duty Officer.
He says since yesterday there was no change in the fire.
White says there is little activity on the south end, and the fire did not change in size.
He adds that they will be expecting little activity and they are getting updates from the remote sensing.
The fire is spread along the edges.
Overnight the fire had grown spreading to the North area of 2400 hectors.
White says they are working on a plan to inspect the area, and they are still monitoring the fire through satellite.
White will have more updates once it becomes available.
