The Department of Health and Social Development in Hopedale held an Ethel Pijogge Traditional Dress Contest yesterday.
This event was for all age groups, and here are the results:
For the 0-3 Year old’s:
1st place went to Bria Lane winning a $300 North Mart shopping spree
2nd place went to Jobe Flowers Jr., winning pampers and wipes valued at $200 And 3rd place went to Layla Lucy winning a push box.
For ages 4-12 for the traditional dress contest:
1st place went to Kristin Abel winning a $300 North Mart shopping spree and
2nd went to Brooklyn Vincent winning a $200 Franks gift card and 3rd winner went to Miguel Rice winning a $100 DJ’s gift card.
For ages 13-49, the winners are as follows:
1st place went to Kendra Winters, winning a $300 North Mart shopping spree
2nd place went to Paul Onalik, winning a $200 Frank’s gift card, and 3rd place went to Natalie Lane winning herself $100 worth of gas or stove oil.
And for the age group 50 and up, the winners are as follows:
1st Rosie Piercy who won a $300 North Mart shopping spree
2nd Jukie Winters, she won a $200 grocery box and
3rd Maggie Jararuse won Manse crafts valued at $100.
Today’s events will be target shoot and tomorrow’s events will be a Labrathon.
