The 2019 Ethel Pijogge Memorial Festival will be starting on Wednesday, April 10 and run until Saturday, April 13 in Hopedale.
The four day festival will have events such as; Community Feast, Beauty Pageant, Bingo, Labrathon, Target Shooting, and the Ethel Pijogge Memorial Dog Team Race.
The race will start at the Hopedale Harbour at 9am on that day.

The community feast will begin on Wednesday, April 10 5pm, at the Nanuk Centre.
You are to register for the Labrathon by Wednesday April 10 at 5pm and it’s for the ages 16-44, and 45+.
The Labrathon will have cash prizes for 1st place is $800, 2nd place $600, and 3rd place is $400, for 1 male and 1 female.
You can register for the fishing contest by Friday April 12, 8pm. There is a $10 registration fee.
1st place winners for the fishing contest will get $500, 2nd place will get $300, and 3rd place will get $200.
The Beauty Contest will begin after the events.
Cash prizes will be given to the Beauty Contest winners for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
Judging for the sculptures will be Friday evening April 12, and the winners will be announced at the Community Bonfire.
1st place winners for the Snow Sculptures will get $500, 2nd place will get $300, and 3rd place will receive $200.
On Saturday, April 13 there will be a Community Bonfire behind the Nanuk Centre. There will be a door prize of an Air Borealis Ticket.
