The Enhancement program has gotten underway for people in Nain who need more hours to qualify for their Employment Insurance Benefits for the winter.
Beni Ittulak is the Town Manager.
She says seven people are on the program and are on their second week of work, from out of those one person has already finished for the hours needed.
Ittulak says the work included, enlarging the wheelchair ramp down to the Moravian Church and cleaned up inside, repaired the Brook Bridge, make new dog pound, a new wall will also be put up at the Nain Fire Hall.
She says the council received $24, 000 from the Provincial Government for the program, and they hope to get more funds for people who are on wait list and are need of more hours for EI benefits.
