An emergency aid plan was announced by the Federal Government this week.
We spoke with MP Yvonne Jones who represents the district of Labrador as a member of the Liberal Party for Newfoundland and Labrador.
She says there will be an emergency income program where people will be able to access income.
Jones adds that students who had student loans are going to be deferred for a short period of time.
