Denture Appointments

The Department of Health and Social Development along the coast are taking names to make appointment for dentures.

Alice Okkuatsiak is the Community Health Worker with the Nain DHSD.

Charles Croker from Happy Valley-Goose Bay and the DHSD’s are in the process of setting up denture clinics for the five Nunatsiavut communities in the near future.

She says the NIHB Program will be covering 100% of the current dental fee guide for the services, so there’ll be no charge to the patients.

Croker will be going to the five communities time to time to make appointments for people who need dentures.

Croker will provide clients with examinations, new complete and partial dentures if they are eligible, relines, rebases, repairs and adjustments.

The appointments are available to non beneficiaries as well but will bill them accordingly.

There are no dates set up yet since they have to see if there is interest.

If anyone in Nain wants to put their name down and set up an appointment, you can call Okkuatsiak at 922-2126 extension 225.
