Coastal DHSD Halloween Activities

The OKâlaKatiget contacted the coastal communities for the Halloween activities with DHSD.

Jane Merkuratsuk is the Community Health Worker here with the Nain DHSD.

She says they will be taking names for the Window Decorating tonight and are taken names until 4 pm and followed by judging at 6 pm with prizes to be won.

The prizes for 1st place will be a $100 gift card from Northern, $75 for 2nd place, and $50 for 3rd.

In Hopedale, we spoke with Juliana Winters who is the Community Health Worker.

She says they will have a Halloween party for children ages 6-12 from 6-8 pm at DHSD in the Aboriginal Head Start room.

And the Makkovik DHSD will be holding a Zombie Chase at 6 pm and will be meeting by the DHSD building.
