One of our OK Radio producers contacted the schools in Hopedale, Nain, Makkovik and Postville to get an update on their Christmas Concerts.
Students will begin their Christmas holidays on December 22nd and will be back to school on January 4th, 2022.
Arlene Flowers is the principal of the Amos Comenius Memorial School in Hopedale.
Flowers says that they’re supposed to have their outdoor concert today but due to high winds, they postponed the concert to tomorrow, December 16th.
In Makkovik, Dion Rideout is the principal for the J.C Erhardt Memorial School.
Rideout says they already posted most of the classes’ performance, but they are waiting on a couple more classes to finish theirs.
Kent Chaulk is the principal of the Jens Haven Memorial School.
He says they are not able to do their concert in person, but each class is setting up their performances to have it virtually.
The B.L Morrison Memorial School in Postville have not set a date yet for their concert.
OK Radio was unable to reach the Northern Lights Academy in Rigolet.
