With International Self-Care Day being on Monday, July 24, 2023 the Child & Youth Mental Health Team is promoting the day with a virtual contest.
Self-Care allows you to maintain a healthy relationship with yourself so that you can better relate to others. According to the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), engaging in self-care routines has been clinically proven to assist in reducing or eliminating anxiety and depression, reducing stress, improving concentration, minimizing frustration and anger, increasing happiness, and so much more.

This contest is open to all ages; and open to Nunatsiavut communities, Upper Lake Melville & the Canadian Constituency. They have a $50 prepaid MasterCard and a Play Therapy kit that includes paints, fidget toys, breathing techniques, toys, puppets that’s up for grabs.
