The North West River Beach Festival will go ahead this weekend.
The largest indigenous outdoor music festival in the province of NL happens on Saturday, July 22nd, and July 23rd.
The festival will take place at the Lester burry memorial park.
On Saturday, July 22 starting 12pm will start off with the opening ceremonies, 1pm is Rigolet Square Dancers, 2pm Montague Brothers, 3pm Richard Neville, 4pm Leander Baikie, 4:30pm John Neville Music & Friends, 5:30pm Jacinda Beals Band, 6:30pm Wild Step, 8:30pm Innu Horizon, 9:30pm Tombstone, and at 10pm there will be fireworks.
From 1-3pm there will be kids’ games.
On Sunday, July 23rd at 12pm will start with Emily Peyton, 12:30pm Ondreya Beals and Eric Mitsuk, 1pm Kirk Lethbridge, 2pm Montague Brothers, 3pm Flummies, 4pm Nitatshun, 5-7pm will be the auction, 7pm Scapa Flow, 8pm Tombstone, and 9pm is the closing ceremonies.
Also, on Sunday 2:30pm there is a red berry pie contest for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, judging will be at 4pm and entries must be dropped off at the beach festival, and a sandcastle contest at the beach, judging will be at 3pm.
