OKâlaKatiget Society had an update from the Newfoundland and Labrador Fisheries and Agriculture.
There is a forest fire located near Nain due to the lightning that occurred couple days ago.
We spoke to Jason Glode, the Regional Duty Officer.
30 kms inland, and 54 kms Northwest of Nain there is a forest fire.
Glode said they are monitoring this through satellite.
There are no cabins near the forest fire.
Glode will give more updates when they have more updated satellite screening available.
