Adaptive Technology Program

A new program has been launched to help people with disabilities access adaptive technology.

The Coalition of Persons with Disabilities Newfoundland and Labrador, funded by the Northpine Foundation, has created an Adaptive Technology Program that aims to support people with all forms of disabilities.

Adaptive technology is something that makes it easier for people with disabilities to access items such as wheelchairs, walkers, computer technical aids and learning disability software.

The Executive Director of COD-NL, Nancy Reid, says the program can have a significant impact on peoples’ lives. She says this is about the removal of barriers.

Applications are open and will be accepted until August 26 online, by email at codnl.ca, or phone at 597-8596.
