The Nunatsiavut Government is working to establish the Nunatsiavut Housing Commission, which will be uniquely responsive to the housing needs and challenged of Inuit in Nunatsiavut. Work is underway on this exciting project and we want to share it with you.
Residents re welcome to attend an open house in their community with the Director of Housing, Brenda Jararuse, to discuss the work underway and how they can get involved. The schedule is as follows:
Rigolet: Monday, July 18 at 4:30pm at the Northern Lights Academy Gym
Makkovik: Tuesday, July 19 at 4:30pm at the Makkovik community Hall
Postville: Wednesday, July 20 at 4:30pm at the Kaipokok Community Centre
Nain: Monday, July 25 at 4:30pm at the Illusuak Cultural Centre
Hopedale: Tuesday, July 26 at the Nanuk Community Centre
NG still strongly encourages while at the open house to physical distance, use non-medical mask, and hand sanitize upon entering the building.
