The Nain Inuit Community Government (NICG) and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are now putting the effort to enhance the safety for the students for the Jens Haven Memorial School and the Primary School.
The one-way traffic zone will be starting today, Monday, June 6, 2022, between the hours of 11:45am and 1:15pm and from 2:45pm to 3:15pm.
Residents who are not picking up their children from school are asked to avoid this zone during these times to avoid traffic congestion.
They realize that this will take some getting used to but if we work together, we will make traveling to and from school safer for our children.
