There will be a Youth Symposium held here in Nain on June 11, 2022.
Heather Angnatok is the Regional Youth Administrator; she will be the one who will be holding the youth gathering.
She says this gathering for youth who will be learning about Language and Culture for a whole week, with 32 youth participating.
She is hoping for 5 youth in each community on the North Coast, 5 youth from the Upper Lake Melville, and 2 youth from the Canadian Constituency, with elders who will present as well.

Any youth who are interested would need to know why they would like to attend and explain what language and culture means to them.
The deadline to apply will be June 10, 2022, for anyone who is interested.
They will hold a meeting next week with more details and will notify the public once information becomes available.
