This is the fourth day for the Ground Search and Rescue Hearings in Makkovik.
Jim Igloliorte is the Commissioner for the hearings.
He says that they started off by looking at the perspective of each of the witnesses who were ground searchers from Makkovik, and talked with people from the Federal Government, the RCMP, as well as the military.
Igloliorte says that himself and the lawyer who works with the commission, Jeff Budden, and Court Clerk will be coming to Nain to speak with the SAR group from Nain and will be heading back to Corner Brook next week.
He adds that everyone has been overwhelmed by emotions arising from such a long wait for the official inquiry to begin, but even with that long wait, there comes a little bit of sense that there’s some burden relieved from your shoulders.
