Postville Ice Conditions (Audio)

The community of Postville did some random ice checks within the area.

Glen Sheppard is the AngajukKâk for the Postville Inuit Community Government, he says that they have two male workers who work with the trail markers.

They have been testing the ice with an ice auger and the thickness of the ice varies with each area.

He adds that areas around Sandy point is 25 inches thick, big point is at 24 inches thick and the rapids is at 26 inches thick.
