The Makkovik Recreation Department has their Christmas Event Schedule for this year.
It will be different this year for Christmas celebrations due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
Tomorrow, December 17, they will start off their events with their annual Recreation Christmas bingo starting at 6pm. Their Christmas raffle draw will be held during the recreation bingo.
On December 19, Santa will be making a visit on a fire truck; he will also be handing out goodies bags to the children at 11am.
For the light up Christmas contest, there is 2 categories for the Christmas contest, prizes will include: 1st for most decorated, 2nd for most festive, please register for this contest and state what category.
In addition to the light up Christmas contest they will be having a general draw for ALL households who decorate with Christmas lights not matter how big or small your lights are your name will be entered in for the prize draw and you do not have to register.
For children 12 years and under they can decorate their window or doors and you will get your name entered in for a prize please register for this contest.
Homemade Christmas cap or hat contest, open to all ages, submit a photo to makkrecreation@makkovik.ca of your creation deadline is December 18 at 3pm, prize will be a cash prize.
