Danielle Irvine a Director and Producer with Perchance Theatre at Cupids whish is an outdoor classical theatre company.
Irvine is doing a huge monologue series as our COVID pivot piece and they have been filming actors doing monologues (one person speeches) or songs, all over the province.
Irvine says that there is a piece from each of Shakespeare’s plays. The goal is to showcase Newfoundland and Labrador talent, feature its beauty and history, and celebrate the beauty of Shakespeare’s poetry.
Joan Dicker of Nain has recorded a song from the play Twelfth Night by Shakespeare, and that this is a lovely opportunity to teach our audiences about Nalujuit Night since it happens on the same night of the play’s title.
