NLESD’s Operational Plan for Schools

The Newfoundland and Labrador English School District is compiling the final pieces of its operational plan for school reopening in September.

It expects to release it to the public in the coming days, but it will be considered a “working draft” as there are still some outstanding issues for which the board needs clear direction and advice from the provincial government and public health authorities.

The report will reflect the direction and guidance provided, to date, through the government’s K-12 Education Re-Entry Plan.

Government developed guidelines a few weeks ago but left it to the boards, schools, and classrooms to figure out site-specific plans.

Students go back in less than a month while teachers and staff have only three weeks before they report.
