Beneficiaries of the Labrador Inuit Land Claims Agreement are advised that gasoline allowances will be provided to qualifying applicants under the newly-established Nunatsiavut COVID-19 Marine Harvesters Support Program.
This program will be provided to qualifying boat owners to cover costs associated with harvesting country foods on behalf of themselves and/or other family units.
Individuals who meet the criteria can apply to receive a voucher for 50 litres of gasoline per week.
Family units owning a boat can also be designated to harvest on behalf of one other family unit that has been approved.
