The families were selected for the Sevenplex last month.
Michelle Kinney is the Deputy Minister of Health and Social Development with the Nunatsiavut Government.
She says the committee held a meeting and reviewed the applications for the Sevenplex.
They selected the seven families for the seven units and have one vacant unit in the Sixplex.
Kinney says the purpose for the sevenplex is for families who were in need of housing, who were either at risk of losing their children or potentially could have children placed back with them if they had housing and families that were engaged with CSSD and with our Family Connections Program.
She adds that they have one vacant unit designated for a senior.
