The OKâlaKatiget society contacted the north coast communities to see what they have to offer in their community freezers.
In Happy Valley Goose Bay, they have char, cod, red berries, potatoes, carrots and turnips.
In Rigolet’s community freezer they have char, cod, cod heads and berries.
In Makkovik they have char and cod.
In Postville they have cod.
In Nain’s community freezer they have char, seal meat and cod.
Sorry we couldn’t get hold of the Hopedale freezer, no one was available.
