A pilot project is underway for beneficiaries in the North West River and Sheshatshiu area.
This project is titled: the Beginner’s Inuktitut course; which will be held in North West River.
We spoke with Maxine Winters who is the Chair Person for Sivunivut.
She says they are holding an introduction this evening at the Town office in the Chamber room at 7pm tonight; because there is a board meeting.
This Inuktitut program will be held every Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7pm for 5 weeks.
Winters says So far they have 7 confirmed participants and they are looking for 3 more participants to take part.
Justine Obed is the Inuktitut instructor.
