Labrador Marine Update on Freight Cargo

A press release dated last Friday, November 22nd, 2019 from Woodward’s Group of Companies.

In this statement it says: That the Kamutik W left Goose Bay with the remaining north coast food shipment that evening.

The vessel carried a full load of 55 containers and 1200 pallets.

The vessel will stop at all ports north to Nain, starting with Rigolet.

The remaining freight at the terminal in Goose Bay is general cargo, consisting of items such as building supplies and snowmobiles.

As anticipated the Kamutik W will arrive back to Goose bay mid this week and prepare for the next trip north.

According to Peter Woodward’s the CEO of Woodward’s; he says: their entire crew and our shore support team have worked hard to meet their commitment to have all good supplies delivered to the north coast before the end of the season and they understand the importance of the marine service to the north coast.

Labrador Marine Inc has also addressed concerns about replacement of some food items that were damaged after being dropped at Makkovik in advance of a recent hurricane force storm.

They have been in contact with most, if not all customers who were impacted says Woodward Labrador Marine will honour all claims related to the incident and will ensure that replacement goods are shipped proper to the end of this season.
