The 100 year commemoration event began in Nain on Sunday, September 22nd.
The OKâlaKatiget TV and Radio Department were invited to record this event.
The opening ceremony was held yesterday at the Jeremias Sillitt Community Center followed by Okak Descendant Interviews.
Yesterday descendants had an afternoon of Art as a Healing workshop that held a circle of storytelling and discussions.
Topics were discussed about what their concerns were and questions.
