1st Annual Tom Jararuse Dart Tournament will be held in Hopedale on Saturday, August 31st, 2019.
Hannah Winters is the organizer for this tournament.
She says there are 8 teams registered so far and are still looking for more teams if anyone is interested.
Each teams will consist of 4, 2 men and 2 women.
There will also be people from Natuashish and Goose Bay to join in this event.
Winters says she received funding from the kamatsiatet Committee for the cash prizes and a small donation from Patty Dicker.
The prizes for this tournament will consist of T-shirts and $2,000 for 1st place, $900 for 2nd place, and $400 for 3rd.
If more teams register then the cash prizes will go higher.
Winters adds that she did a bingo fundraiser also had 50/50 tickets to raise money for the fee and t-shirts.
The fee for the tournament is $25 per player, $100 per teams and will go towards the prizes.
Winters says she is also looking for another sponsor and is still waiting to get a response back.
The deadline for registrations is tomorrow, August 30th and will go ahead with the tournament on the Saturday, the 31st.
