The ICAN program is currently being piloted in Newfoundland and Labrador for adults ages 18 to 30 who are dealing with anxiety.
This is free program for all participants, and it’s all done over the phone, so no one wouldn’t have to travel or take time off from work or school.
Their goal is to provide help early before problems get worse, and is offering support when needed.
Adults learn skills to overcome their anxiety, excessive worry, and learn how to cope with major life stressors through their unique distance coaching approach.
They have trained coaches who will provide a telephone support system at your convenient times, allowing adults to participate from the privacy and comfort of their homes during a time that best fits their schedule.
This program is proven to be effective at decreasing anxiety and increasing confidence and independence.
The program was launched in October and are still accepting referrals for the program.
