Eastern Health is pleased to announce the recipients of its 8th annual CEO Awards of Excellence. The awards were presented in St. John’s on Thursday, June 28, 2018 during the organizations Employee Recognition Week which runs from June 25 – 29, 2018.
David Diamond is the President and CEO of Eastern Health.
He says the CEO Awards of Excellence event was designed to recognize and express appreciation for employees who, by their outstanding contributions and achievements, help support Eastern Health’s vision of Healthy people, healthy communities. Employees were nominated for the awards by either colleagues or supervisors.
A total of seven winners were chosen from among 77 nominations: one of them was:
Connectedness (team award), went to the Aboriginal Patient Navigators with Professional Practice and Aboriginal Health at the Health Science Centre raised awareness to support the introduction of Indigenous culture, traditions, practices and ceremonies to enhance the understanding of Indigenous families and their ways of being within communities.
