Important information has been released regarding the MMIWG National Inquiry hearings to take place in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL.
They’re hoping to have everyone registered by the end of the day today.
If you are a family member of a Missing/Murdered Indigenous Woman/Girl/2-Spirit, and would like to make a statement/testimony to the National Inquiry, you need to phone Jade Harper at (204)-227-7559 (cell).
Due to confidentiality, Harper can’t confirm who is registered for Goose Bay.
Kaila De Boer is Director of Mental Wellness and Healing for the Nunatsiavut Government.
She says that Commissioner Qajaq Robinson will be in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador for the community hearings.
The dates are now confirmed for March 7th & 8th, 2018.
Anyone from the public can attend the hearings to observe them in the public hearing rooms.
