Cain’s Quest Snowmobile Endurance Race Roaring Off Soon

The start of the Cain’s Quest Endurance Snowmobile Race is ten days away.

The 2018 racers will depart Labrador West at 12 noon on Friday, March 2nd.

They will head to Churchill Falls before starting their journey through remote checkpoints north to Nain.

From there, racers will travel to the south coast to L’Anse Au Claire before making their way back to the finish line in Labrador West through Central Labrador, completing a full Labrador Circuit.

The snowmobile racers will be passing through a total of 19 checkpoints, and covering an estimated 3,200 kilometers.

The 19 checkpoints from Churchill Falls include: Sail Lake, Border Beacon, Nain, Natuashish, Hopedale, Postville, Makkovik, Rigolet, Mealy Mountains Park, Cartwright, Black Tickle, Charlotte Town, Mary’s Harbour, to L’Anse Au Claire, and from there heading back to Labrador West through Eagle Plateau, Goose Bay, Churchill Falls to Esker, and on to the finish line at Lab West.
