Torngat Arts And Crafts

Torngat Arts and Crafts Inc had a very successful summer in selling their products.

This summer they sold a lot of jewelry and carvings.

All of the arts and crafts are made by Inuit artists located throughout the Nunatsiavut area.

We spoke with Sophie Tremblay Morissette the new Executive Director.

She says yesterday, Monday September 29, they held their first fall buying day .

Products wanted include local and regional crafts, carvings, seal skin products, traditional clothing, jewelry, chimo caps, mitts, drawings, etc.

She says the craft and arts must be good quality products that will sell at the shop.

Morissette says the Torngat Arts and Crafts Inc will start holding their buying days each Monday from 1-4pm.

They are now looking for Christmas themed items, Chimo hats, Seal skin mitts, any   winter related items.

For more information you can contact Sophie at the craft shop at 922-1135.
