The Status of Women office of the Nunatsiavut Government will be hosting a one day retreat on the land this summer for women.
Funding has been provided by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.
A female assistant is needed in Nain, Hopedale, Rigolet, and Happy Valley-Goose Bay to help the Status of Women Coordinator organize the retreat, which will be held a short distance from each community.
The assistants will be required for 12 hours in total.
Responsibilities include:
Assist with arranging boat and satellite phone rentals,
Arrange payment for gas and lube for boat,
Write up a list of food supplies and pick them up
Ensure that there are supplies for the boil-up (axe, kettle, etc.)
Rate of pay is $18.00 an hour.
