Statistics Canada Conducting 2017 Aboriginal Peoples Survey

Statistics Canada is currently conducting the 2017 Aboriginal Peoples Survey.

Approximately 48,000 First Nations people living off reserve, Metis and Inuit will be invited to participate in the Aboriginal Peoples Survey (APS).

Topics include employment, skills and training, education, health, and cultural practices.

Statistics Canada employees will be working in the community of Nain, Hopedale, Makkovik, Rigolet and Postville, Nunatsiavut from February 10th until the end of March 2017.

Having up-to-date information means that Aboriginal organizations, communities, service providers, researchers and governments will be able to offer appropriate programs and services across the country.

The right programs aim to improve opportunities for education and in the labour market.

Make sure to have your voice heard, and if selected for the APS, please participate.
