Silpa Suarak on Canadian Roots Exchange (Audio)

The Canadian Roots Exchange is an organization that works with Indigenous and Non-Indigenous youth.

This year it was held in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Silpa Suarak is the Language Program Coordinator with the Nunatsiavut Government.

She went to the Canadian Roots Exchange with 6 youth from Nain recently.

Suarak says 6 youth attended from each community within Nunatsiavut, along with 2 chaperones.

Youth from all across Canada also took part in the Canadian Roots Exchange.

One youth from Boston even attended the event.
