The Research Station at the Torngat Mountains National Park will open on July 22nd this year, and will stay open until August 25th, 2017.
Martin Lougheed is the Visitor Experience Manager for Parks Canada.
Lougheed says that there will be many activities this year to commemorate Canada’s one hundred and fiftieth anniversary.
A concert will be held, and cruise ships will be passing through.
Youth participation and research activities will be taking place at the base camp as well.
