Last night on December 10, 2017 the Nain Recreation Department held a night of games and an ugly sweater contest, along with many door prizes.
The night started off with the ugly sweater contest.
There were a total of 51 contestants.
The 1st place prize of $400 for the ugliest sweater was won by Jessie Lidd, 2nd place went to Lovey Ford, who won herself $250, finishing in 3rd place was Arlene Ikkusek, who won $200, and capturing 4th place was Dawn Michelin, who took home $150.
The ugly sweater contest was followed by games of chance for all.
For each game that they played, contestants received an extra ticket for a chance to win a door prize.
There were five door prize draws.
The 1st was for a case of pop which went to Kerri Kohlmeister, the 2nd draw of $100 was won by Nancy Ikkusek, the 3rd draw of a $100 bingo card voucher went to Patrick Harris, and for the 4th draw, Madeline Merkuratsuk was the lucky winner of an iPod.
Winy Tuglavina also won a $100 door prize.
Afterwards, a snack and beverage were served to all people that attended this annual event.
A huge thank you goes out to Nain Recreation once again for the fun night out for the community of Nain, and for a job well done.
