The MP for Labrador, Yvonne Jones, visited the OK Radio studio during her visit to Nain this past Wednesday.
The issues Jones talked about were funding for housing, upgrades to internet services, Illusuak Project funds, Employment Insurance extensions, Canada Pension, Old Age Security Benefits, Child Tax Credit, and more.
However, she says the main purpose of the visit was to discuss Nutrition North, and how much the Federal Government will invest in the subsidy program.
Jones also visited some businesses around town, including Going Off, Growing Strong, and the Community Freezer, where she was impressed by their operation.
