The deadline to enrol your child in the new Language Nest Program has been extended for another two weeks.
Jenny Lyall is the Regional Child Care Coordinator for the Department of Health and Social Development.
Lyall says there is no date set for when the program will start in Nain,
as they still need to fill one job position.
The two positions require fluency in Inuktitut.
And the deadline for the co-ordinators position was on Friday.
She says they will be accepting applications and names from the parents who want to enrol their babies in the Language Nest.
The extended deadline to enrol your child is now October 13.
Inuktitut will be spoken and taught daily at the Language Nest.
Lyall adds it is only a one year pilot project but they hope it will continue.
