Goose Bay Man Arrested For Impaired Driving

On February 19th, 2016 at 12:50 pm, a concerned citizen called the RCMP in Happy Valley-Goose Bay and reported a possible impaired driver who had just left a local business in the community.

The RCMP quickly conducted a traffic stop directly in front of the RCMP Detachment in Goose Bay.

As a result of this traffic stop and subsequent investigation, a 41 year old man from Goose Bay was arrested for impaired driving.

The man has since been released from custody and will be appearing in Provincial Court at a later date.

He will be facing a number of charges, including impaired driving over 80 mg, and several Highway Traffic Act Offences.

Labrador RCMP will be continuing to focus on combating incidents of impaired driving, and would like to thank the concerned citizen who reported this incident.
