Health Minister Ross Wiseman was removed from his position in a cabinet shuffle yesterday.
Wiseman will now be taking over the business portfolio while Paul Oram will be replacing him as the Minister of Health.
Wiseman was in this position for two and a half years, most of which were shadowed by health care mistakes with breast cancer results, a looming nurse’s strike and shortage of specialists.
Time for a change Premier Danny Williams must have thought, but his replacement has only been in the position for one day and he’s already facing accusations of conflict of interest from opposition leaders.
Oram is the co-owner of two personal care homes which could be affected by legislation the government may put in place. Comments
