The candidates have been announced for Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami’s Presidential Election.
There are two Inuit hoping to become the next President of ITK.
Robert Watt and Terry Audla are the candidates who were announced on Tuesday.
Audla is currently the Chief Executive Officer for Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated.
Watt is the Co-Director of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Inuit Sub-Commission.
A new President will be selected from the two candidates during ITK’s AGM in Kuujjuaq on June 6.
