Two players from Makkovik played on the Torngat Mountains team: Dylan Anderson and Sydney Ford.

Denniston says that the team played really well for the few weeks of practice and ice time that they had.

They played really hard, and the other coaches and teams noticed how hard they worked, and how talented they are.

He adds that the hockey players had a really good time.

Denniston would like to thank the community of Nain for their support, including everyone who helped with the fundraising and took part in the cold plates and bakes sales, Coach Edward Flowers for going wooding and selling tickets, and the Ullapitsaijet Committee and the Nain Inuit Community Government for sponsoring the team.
