Nain and Postville ICG’s Community Enhancement Program Update

The Nain Inuit Community Government (NICG) is waiting on one more person’s ROE to be confirmed for qualification to work under the Community Enhancement Employment Program (CEEP).

Joe Dicker is the AngajukKak of the NICG.

He says nine people who needed more hours to qualify for their Employment Insurance (EI) have completed their hours to qualify.

Dicker says they have enough funds for one more person, if anyone else needs more hours under the program.

He says the person can bring in their ROE to the treasurer at the Nain Council Office.

In Postville, Shirley Goudie is the Town Manager of the Inuit Community Government.

She says they have three people working under the CEEP.

Goudie says they are expected to be completed the hours required for EI at the end of February.

She says there will be no funds left after the program finishes.
