Nain Minor Hockey will be holding its Annual Fundraiser Hockey Week Challenge of multiple activities from January 12, 2018 to January 13, 2018.
On Friday, January 12 at the Nain Husky Centre, a skills competition will take place at 3:30 pm for Novice, Atoms and Peewees.
At 4:30 pm, the skills competition continues for Females, Bantams and Midgets.
Minor Hockey Week general skating for all ages will take place at 6 pm; this event will be free of admission.
At 7:30 pm, the Minor Hockey Week Challenge Tournament will begin with the Torngat Mountains Midget Team vs. the Nain Elite Hockey Leaque (NEHL) team.
The fee to enter the tournament for men and midget teams is $20 per player.
There is a fee of $10 for the kids to enter the tournament as well.
On Saturday January 13, the day will start off at 11 am with the Novice team playing the Hockey Moms.
At 12:30 pm, the Minor Hockey Week Challenge Tournament will continue with the Atoms and Peewees versus the Female Bantams.
Broomball is scheduled to take place at 2 pm, featuring Minor Hockey versus the Women.
At 3:30 pm, the Boys Bantams will be playing the Torngat Mountain Midgets team.
Edward Flowers, Nain Minor Hockey coach, adds that he is looking for any women or old timers who are willing to play against the kids this weekend.
