The 15th Annual Inuktitut Speakoff will take place in Hopedale this year.
Debbie Lyall is the Curriculum Secretary of Jens Haven Memorial School in Nain.
She says there will be ten students participating.
Lyall says two students will take part from each of the North Coast communities of Nain, Hopedale, Makkovik, Postville and Rigolet.
The Inuktitut Speakoff is scheduled for Tuesday, January 16.
