Moose Distributed to North Coast Communities

The moose hunt in Gros Morne National Park down on the Island last month went really well.

Todd Broomfield is the Director of Renewable Resources for the Nunatsiavut Government.

He says 40 moose were harvested last month.

Broomfield says the moose were at Hawke’s Bay, NL, butchered and vacuumed, and sent to Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL.

He adds the Moose meat has been distributed to the north coast communities, as well as to Happy Valley-Goose Bay and North West River, NL.
