George River Caribou Study Recently Conducted (Audio)

The Wildlife Manager for the Nunatsiavut Government, Jim Goudie, and other conservation officers went on a helicopter about two weeks ago to study the George River caribou herd.

Goudie says they saw roughly seven hundred caribou, and classified about five hundred and fifty of those.

Goudie says they determined which animals in the herd were males and females.

He adds a report on the study will be available in about two weeks.
