If you require immediate police response in Nain, please call 911.
There have been cases where messages have been left on the RCMP answering machine that required immediate assistance.
Those calls go unnoticed until the next day.
911 calls are directed straight to dispatch in St. John’s, which are then directed to members here in Nain.
Remember, with 911, you get to talk to somebody that will help you immediately, whereas if you call the detachment and don’t choose the right option, it will go straight to voicemail.
